Reconstruction informs the way I approach aesthetic surgery.

My reconstructive training has shaped the way I approach surgery. Restoring form and function after injury, disease, or tissue loss requires an understanding of anatomy, blood supply, tissue movement, and wound healing, as well as the limitations of what surgery can achieve.

I bring these principles into my aesthetic practice, considering the underlying anatomy and function alongside the change a patient hopes to achieve. This background helps me assess each concern and select an appropriate approach, rather than begin with a preferred operation or a standard result.

My Approach

Understanding the concern before choosing the operation.

I begin by understanding the patient’s concerns, examining the relevant anatomy and function, and discussing what treatment may realistically achieve. Surgery is considered when there is an appropriate indication, with the plan tailored to the individual rather than a standard result.

I believe patients should understand the available options, limitations, risks, and recovery before deciding whether to proceed.
